I am talking to a friend in Brasil to import OSB plywood and other lumber materials to US . I am looking to do it asap since the market is good for those materials. Is this process easy to deal with?

Hi Victor,
Importing anything, especially OSB and plywood into the U.S., comes with quite a few specific tasks that need to be taken care of. Any mistakes in completing these tasks can lead to issues in getting your products across the border.
The process can be made much simpler by working with a Licensed Customs Broker. You can use the link below to sign up for a 1-on-1 consulting session with our Licensed Customs Brokers. During your session, your Broker will review all of the details related to your planned import and give you all the information you need to safely import your goods. We look forward to helping you!

Hello, thanks for your article. I am planning on importing Tetra Pack 400 grams fruit packages (pineapple, a mix of acai and guarana, coconut, cashew, acerola, and others). Also, we have 100 grams sachets versions of the above, which can be used in a blender for a refreshing drink. Is there any regulatory requirement for this type of product? What about sample imports?

Hi Jose,
Since the products you're importing are intended for human consumption, they will be subject to FDA and USDA regulations. This includes filing prior notice with FDA and sourcing your goods from a facility that's registered with the FDA. Our Licensed Customs Brokers can go over all of the requirements and more during a customs consulting session. We look forward to helping you!
We know the process and requirements can be confusing, but it doesn’t have to be.
